Hall of Fame

In addition to our primary mission of supporting the athletes, we also recognize people who have displayed exceptional performance or service to the deaf and hard of hearing in the world of sports as athletes, coaches, leaders, writers, and officials.

Those names you find in the Hall of Fame were dedicated for their contributions to our rich history of efforts and accomplishments in sports. They are role models and set a benchmark for deaf and hard of hearing individuals to compete, coach, officiate, lead, or write.

USADSF recognizes individuals in the following categories:

— Leaders

Sport Leaders and Writers*

Great deaf and hard of hearing athletes of the past and present have unique stories to share with us, and their experiences serve as a reminder for tomorrow's athletes to perform to the best of their abilities in the spirit of the Olympic motto Citius, Altius, Fortius (faster, higher, stronger).

Purpose

The purpose of the USADSF Hall of Fame shall be to honor those who have displayed exceptional performance or service to the deaf in the world of sports as athletes and leaders.

*Starting with 2020 Hall of Fame awards, these three categories are combined into the "Leaders" category.
