SANTA FE, NEW MEXICO – Once again, USA Deaf Sports Federation (USADSF) has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving occurring on November 28 that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.
For over 70 years, the USADSF has produced national champions, international record-breakers and Deaflympic medalists, all in the everlasting pursuit of excellence. On Tuesday, join us in continuing that legacy by supporting the next generation of athletes.
“We have been incredibly inspired by the hard work, dedication, and immense sacrifices our deaf and hard of hearing athletes have put in the name of our country and Olympic values and ideals,” said President Danny Lacey, adding, “I look forward to seeing our communities come together during this holiday season to support our athletes in their pursuit of Deaflympic excellence and show the power of sport. Together We Win.”
Those interested in joining USADSF’s #GivingTuesday initiative can donate through the organization’s website (usdeafsports.org/donate) or through our GivingTuesday Facebook page on Tuesday November 27.
#GivingTuesday is a global giving movement that has been built by individuals, families, organizations, businesses and communities in all 50 states and in countries around the world. This year, #GivingTuesday falls on November 28. #GivingTuesday harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners to transform how people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season. It inspires people to take collective action to improve their communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they believe in, and help create a better world. #GivingTuesday demonstrates how every act of generosity counts, and that they mean even more when we give together.
