USA Deaf Shooting Seeking Male and Female Shooters

SIOUX FALLS, SD — April 24, 2008 — The USA Deaf Shooting is is pleased to announce a Head Coach position for the US Shooting Team to the 2009 Summer Deaflympics, effective June 13, 2008.

Application Deadline: May 29, 2008

Applicants shall be selected based on the following general qualifying criteria:

1. Coaching experience (school, post-secondary, club or elite athlete levels);
2. Coaching experience with deaf athletes;
3. Credentials in the area of coaching, training, or teaching;
4. Demonstration of fluent receptive and expressive sign language skills;
5. Familiarity with USOC Code of Ethics, USA and NRA with requirements (American Sport Education Program and Firearms Safety Program Certificate of Competition).
6. Current membership in NRA and USADSF.

The Selection committee shall review all resumes. Interviews may be conducted in person, by video phone or by e-mails.

Names of candidates receiving majority votes shall be recommended to the US Deaf Shooting Board for its decision.
