Team USA Committee
1st World Deaf Youth Games
São Paulo, Brazil, 13-23 January 2024
The USA Deaf Sports Federation announces an open call for applications to join the Team USA Committee for the inaugural World Deaf Youth Games in São Paulo, Brazil (January 13-23, 2024).

Qualifications
- Display strong administrative, communication, and organizational skills
- Have prior experience with international sports events
- Possess a valid passport that does not expire until at least six months after the conclusion of the Games
- Provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or obtain an approved exemption waiver by October 15, 2023, as a requirement to be considered for the position
- Be available to work with the Team USA Committee in the months leading up to the Games, for the entire duration of the Games, and post-Games debriefing
Expectations
- Represent Team USA as a team leader during the World Deaf Youth Games, including but not limited to providing organizational leadership, leading Team USA correspondence and meetings, attending technical/leadership meetings, and communicating with Team USA, NGBs, and USADSF
- Work effectively with USADSF and Team USA Committee Assist with chaperoning athletes to ensure the appropriate supervision of all athletes
- Undergo a NCSI background screen in accordance with the current Games Background Check Policy & Procedures
- Be familiar with the World Anti-Doping Code and uphold the principles of clean sport
- Successfully complete the appropriate U.S. Center for SafeSport’s online training module(s) within 45 days of selection; be fully eligible to participate by the U.S. Center for SafeSport
- Travel to the Games site with Team USA and be available for the entire duration of the World Deaf Youth Games until the Team’s arrival back to the states
- Serve as the primary point of contact and ambassador of the delegation
