U.S. Women Team Goes to Salt Lake City

The US Deaf Women’s National Volleyball Team will be competing in the US Open National Volleyball Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 25-29, 2012.  The event website is http://usavolleyball.org/events/7761.  The team is registered as a Women’s “BB” team.

The team plans to give back to the community throughout its stay in Salt Lake City.  On May 29 at the Sanderson Deaf Center, the timetable is as follows:

3:00 – 5:00pm

A two-hour volleyball clinic open to the public (Deaf & KODA)

5:30 – 8:00pm

Fundraising Dinner & Silent Auction sponsored by GUAA/Old Spaghetti Factory (see the flyer below for a list of items to be auctioned).

The team will also deliver books to deaf/hard of hearing students at the Utah School for the Deaf.
