About USADSF

United States of America Deaf Sports Federation, USADSF, was formerly known as American Athletic Union of the Deaf, AAUD, which was established in 1945. Primary focus are to regulate uniform rules of competition for affiliated national sport organizations, facilitate the participation of US teams in international competition, and to promote human rights and equity through sports.

2019 Winter Deaflympics

Our Winter Deaflympics athletes are busy preparing for our upcoming Winter Deaflympics, on December 12 – 21. USADSF is excited to send 6 teams: Chess; Curling; Ice Hockey; Skiing; Snowboarding and Cross Country Skiing to Valtellina Valchiavenna, ITALY. Chess is now officially recognized as the 6th winter sport event during Winter Deaflympics starting this year! We will have a total of 73 participants marching down the Opening Ceremony, representing USA! More information such as FAQ and competitive venues are found here, to learn more…

Together We Win

Funding our athletes and the cost of competition is our greatest barrier to winning Gold. The burden of fundraising has had to be shouldered by our deaf and hard of hearing athletes and coaches, and oftentimes athletes pay out of pocket upwards of $5,000 to compete. Your support would help send our athletes to international competitions, and take training and coaching to the next level.
