Update on USADSF Board

August 14 2020

To our community,

Mark Apodaca has respectfully submitted his resignation as treasurer of the USA Deaf Sports Federation. Mark has been a valuable presence on the USADSF Board since 2010.  He worked closely with the Team USA and Game Preparation Committee for all the past Deaflympics and numerous World Championships.  As the winner of the 2016 Art Kruger Award, Mark has shown a tireless commitment towards Team USA and for the advancement of deaf athletes in sport.   The USA Deaf Sports Federation wants to recognize the passion and leadership Mark demonstrated throughout his tenure. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.

On another note, The USA Deaf Sports Federation board is pleased to announce the appointment of David Farias for the position of Treasurer.   David brings to the board over 10 years of professional experience in the accounting industry. He has previously served on the USADB International board as a financial officer and oversaw several events including the 2018 U21 World Championships in DC.   David always remains passionate about sports, from his collegiate experiences to deaf club experiences. David is a proud family man who enjoys going on adventures with his wife and kids.

Further updates will be forthcoming shortly with an announcement for board positions.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at Lacey@USDeafSports.org

Sincerely,

Danny Lacey, Board President
