ICSD Announces Updates on Future Deaflympics

After the recent cancellation of the 2011 Winter Deaflympics, there has been a lot of changes happening in the international deaf sporting community. ICSD announced on May 17, 2011, that the country who has won the right to host the 2013 Summer Deaflympics - Greece - has not had an organizing committee since 2009. ICSD also reported that Canada has backed out of hosting the 2015 Winter Deaflympics and that Barcelona, Spain may be out of the bidding for 2017 Summer Deaflympics. USADSF reiterates that this does not mean in any way that any of these three upcoming Deaflympics are canceled. ICSD is working on identifying host countries for these upcoming events.
